Requirements

Position Summary:

By joining the WIN cyber security team, you will provide essential cyber security services and solutions to our 31 owner companies. Our owner companies are small and medium sized telecommunication companies that are located throughout Wisconsin. We are looking for a well-rounded individual that can work closely with business leaders and recommend cyber security and IT solutions to improve the security posture of their company. The applicant will recommend, implement, and manage these solutions. The applicant will identify risks in the customers infrastructure, recommend solutions to remediate the risk, and then implement the solutions. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who enjoys learning and wants to be part of a customer service focused organization. Strong general Information Technology and networking experience is required. This role has a large emphasis on “blue team” defensive security solutions, vulnerability and risk assessments, security monitoring, security auditing, and incident response efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Recommend IT and cyber security solutions to reduce cyber risk
- Implement security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, IPS/IDS, IAM, app whitelisting, endpoint security, or user awareness programs etc.
- Assist in security event/incident investigations on detected alerts
- Provide guidance on prioritizing and reducing cyber risk
- Help cultivate an information security aware and conscious culture
- Provide excellent customer service to all clients
- Create and maintain documentation for all supported applications
- Follow change management procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support customers and systems
- Perform any additional job-related duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and provide our owner companies with industry leading customer service

Technical Skills:

Extensive administration or design experience in at least three of the skills below:

- Networking or Firewall Administration
- Server and Workstation Administration
- Vulnerability Management
- Risk Management
- Security Strategy & Engineering
- EDR / MDR Admin
- IAM
- User Awareness training
- Scripting, development, and automation

Business Skills:

- Experience working with executive leadership
- Group presentation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication

Qualifications:

Possess an Associate degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience. Cyber Security and IT Certifications are a plus (but not required).
