HRS is looking for a security engineer to help develop and deploy the security technical vision of the HRS Security program. The team is focusing on raising security awareness, providing security intelligence, and building tools to enable HRS to feel a shared sense of responsibility for security and privacy concerns. We are looking for someone who wants to shape the technical security vision and direction of a fast-paced, engineering-focused telehealth company.
This is a full-time position based in Hoboken, NJ.
__What you’ll be doing__
Develop a deep understanding of the HRS technology ecosystem. Creating technical security documentation and hardening guidelines for HRS system ecosystem
Select, develop, and manage the implementation of systems, tools, and processes that will keep HRS at the leading edge of security. This includes a continually evolving inventory of gaps to be mitigated and formulation of a proactive strategy to evaluate and implement mitigating technologies
Continuously remain current on emerging security threats and technologies
Collaborate with our DevOps and Product Teams to keep our environment secured
Participate in the development of a secure lifecycle process
Creating security automation for response and remediation of compliance findings and hardening of AWS
Define and build the processes necessary to protect cloud networks and resources from common threat vectors including ransomware, XSS, Injection attacks, security misconfigurations, and monitoring for these and other threats
Play a key role in ensuring our security capabilities meet our compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA/HITECH, SOC)
Perform & maintain technical vulnerability scans, and security audits of cloud architecture
Validate reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risk, where applicable
Review security technologies, tools, and services and make recommendations to the broader security organization for their use
Software engineering experience and an engineering mindset for building reliable, maintainable security infrastructure to support a large organization and CI/CD software engineering practices
Write and maintain infrastructure security code
__What we’re looking for__
Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, other related field, or equivalent work experience with appropriate certifications
You have 2+ years of experience in Security Architecture for a technology focused organization
Strong architectural and network security experience relative to deployments on AWS with emphasis on VPC, Terraform and Elastic Container, creation, and deployment of containers.
You have experience with cloud environments specifically AWS, and others
Ability to create and aggregate security data engineering pipelines to collect various logs across multiple verticals
Experienced with Java, PHP (larval/lumen), JS(angular) and MySQL
You love the technical challenges involved with defining the future of security
You have a passion for educating and working with diverse technical teams
Familiarity with Documentation writing
Familiarity with SIEM and logging technologies
Understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP Stack
Familiarity with VPN technologies
Familiarity with Network Administration and Security
Familiarity with Firewall Technologies
