The Cybersecurity Analyst for Research is a level II cybersecurity position as part of the Information Security Office, in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and must maintain advanced technology and cybersecurity expertise to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability standards are met consistent with contractual and regulatory compliance, U of I policy and in support of the U of I mission and strategic direction. The position plays a vital role in protecting research data by being a dedicated resource to principal investigators that utilize information technology in their daily research activities, and in all stages of the proposal and project lifecycle. This position works collaboratively with OIT, the Office of Research, Research Computing and Data Services and other campus departments to deliver an information security program to meet the needs of the University of Idaho’s teaching, learning and research mission across the State of Idaho
