Job Description

* Salary Package: Level B (equivalent to Assistant Professor in US) from $108,111 to $127,913 p.a., OR Level C (equivalent to Associate Professor in US) from $132,004 to $151,806 p.a., plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.

We are looking for an outstanding **female** Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with an excellent track record of teaching and research in the discipline of Cyber Security. The successful applicant will be expected to develop, teach and convene units at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels, while supervising Higher Degree Research students as well as leading and collaborating on research projects in Cyber Security.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent track record in research and teaching, as well as personal and professional skills that can enable service and leadership contributions that will help to strengthen the impact and reputation of the School of Computing, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Macquarie University.

Essential Criteria
* A PhD in Cyber Security or a closely related discipline
* Demonstrated commitment and capability in delivering high quality and innovative teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
* Demonstrated publications in top-tier peer reviewed journals and/or conferences in security, privacy, and related areas
* Demonstrated research activities in the core areas of cyber security and aligned with the existing relevant areas of excellence of the School which are privacy preserving technologies, human-centric security, artificial intelligence security and privacy, and cyber physical systems security and privacy
* Demonstrated teaching experience in the core areas of Cyber Security, including the design, delivery, and management of lectures, tutorials, and assessment
* An understanding of scholarly teaching with alternative / flexible learning modes
* Proven ability to successfully attract and supervise research students
* Demonstrated potential to attract nationally competitive and/or industry research grants
* High level of oral and written communication skills in English
* Proven ability to interact effectively with students, staff, industry and the community

Additional Essential Selection Criteria for Senior Lecturer (Level C) Applicants
* Demonstrated research leadership, success and impact in high-quality research in Cyber Security
* Demonstrated ability to secure nationally competitive and/or industry research funding
* Demonstrated success in teaching cyber security at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including the ability to develop scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning, particularly in an online environment
* Strong record of supervising higher degree research students, particularly PhD level students
* A record of contributing to administration in a University or professional setting and to interact effectively within these settings
* A record of enhancing the University's reputation through engagement with relevant external stakeholders including cyber security professionals

Desirable Criteria
* Develop and maintain an internationally recognised, cross-disciplinary research program, and to be able to contribute to current running activities in the School and the Faculty
* Prior relevant experience in delivering (online) short training courses or micro-skills modules
