Green Mountain Power is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Administrator to help manage and evolve its enterprise-wide security architecture, compliance, and security awareness initiatives. This position combines hands-on administration of firewalls, intrusion detection, AV, and other hardware-based systems as well as risk management, policy development, and event monitoring duties including evangelizing and perpetuating a security-centric culture throughout the business.
In this role, you will:
Assist in managing the day-to-day of operation of GMP security systems and services
Provision and manage firewalls and similar security appliances
React to and manage security events
Participate in Incident Response Planning and Training
Work with a skilled team of system administrators, architects, and developers to secure their applications and systems
Interact frequently with a wide variety of internal and external customers, vendors, and leadership team members

Demonstrable, recent experience in an enterprise-scale computing environment, including strong TCP/IP theory, firewall administration, encryption, application security, and forensic skills, as well as an understanding of hacker techniques, exploits, tools, and countermeasures is needed.

This position will start as a remote position and will transition in the future to be based from either our Rutland or Colchester, Vermont locations.
