Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is one the largest IT services program for the Navy and U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), supporting approximately 400,000 seats around the world. Under SMIT, the SMIT contractor will provide enterprise services to the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), Navy-Marine Corps Internet (NMCI), and OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) including transport, datacenter, network operations, service desk, cybersecurity, and managed services. CDW-G will be supporting the SMIT contractor in several of these service areas.

CDW currently seeks an Electronic Classroom Field System Administrator (FSA) to join our NGEN SMIT team.

The Electronic Classroom FSA will work within a fast-paced environment, supporting the overall classroom facilities Regionally to ensure our client's services are optimized and reliable. You will be integral in maintaining the performance and usability of building technology and AV systems; assisting the Network Administrator in troubleshooting, maintaining hardware and software, inventory, and related tasks. The FSA will provide support and provide maintenance to computer hardware and software, network infrastructure, classroom technology and other technology systems. Organizational skills, initiative, independent discernment, as well as courtesy and tact are essential to this position as well as continually learning new technologies, products and applications.

Essential Functions:
Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs computer systems, mobile devices and peripherals
Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs, and supports building printer fleet
Configures computers for end-users
Supports the configuration of computer and server operating systems
Configures and maintains computer labs
Supports the integration of computers and mobile devices within the buildings
Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs classroom environments
Performs Audio Visual setups and maintenance
Maintains an accurate inventory of district owned equipment
Performs various other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Active DOD Secret Clearance

High School Diploma or equivalent

Intermediate understanding of the appropriate physical hardware

Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines

Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information

Ability to compose materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals


Preferred Qualifications:

Technical certifications associated to the chosen professional track
ITIL
A+ or Network+
MCSA or MCSE certifications
Basic PowerShell scripting
Basic Linux administration (Red Hat Preferred)
Basic understanding of certificate management and PKI infrastructure
Basic understanding of virtualization (VMware Preferred)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Comprehensive knowledge of department’s service offerings
Experience with Adobe creative suite
Proficient in Microsoft Access and SQL
